Job Title:  Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Location:  Park School, Chipping Norton, OX7 5QH
Salary:      Up to £28,000 per annum (dependent on experience, not pro rata)
Hours:      37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 8:30am - 4:30pm
Contract:  Permanent | Term-Time Only
Start:        October 2026

About the Role

What you will be doing

• Supporting teachers by planning, preparing and delivering engaging lessons and learning activities, including covering lessons when required.
• Delivering targeted interventions and adapting learning to meet the individual needs of students.
• Monitoring student progress and providing detailed feedback to teachers to support future learning.
• Promoting positive behaviour, independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing through consistent support and encouragement.
• Supporting the development of individual education plans, behaviour support strategies and other student documentation.
• Mentoring and supporting Teaching Assistants while working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and the wider school team.

What you will bring

• GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/Level 4 or above) or equivalent.
• Experience working with children with autism and/or additional learning needs, including supporting challenging behaviour.
• Experience planning and delivering learning activities or lessons.
• Excellent communication, organisation and IT skills with the ability to build positive relationships.
• The ability to adapt learning to individual students whilst promoting independence, confidence and achievement.
• Full UK driving licence is required

Park School is an independent specialist day school for boys and girls aged from 7 to 18, catering for students with a wide range of social, emotional and mental health needs. Our dedicated team work together to ensure successful outcomes for students who often arrive at the school with a troubled view of education and life.

At Outcomes First Schools, we provide specialist education for learners who need a deeper level of understanding, expertise and support than mainstream education can typically offer.
