Job Title:  Teaching Assistant
Location:  Napier School, Farnborough, GU14 6EF
Hours:  37.5 per week | Monday–Friday | 8:30am – 4:30pm
Salary:  £22,160.62 per annum (not pro rata)
Contract:  Permanent | Term Time Only
Start:  October 2026

Working as part of a dedicated and supportive team, you will help create a positive, nurturing environment where students feel safe, valued, and encouraged to thrive.

You will:

• Support students individually and in small groups with their learning, communication, social development, and emotional wellbeing
• Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging lessons and meaningful learning experiences
• Encourage positive behaviour and help create a calm, supportive classroom environment
• Prepare learning resources and support educational visits, enrichment activities, and school events
• Monitor progress and celebrate achievements, helping students recognise and build on their successes
• Provide support during breaktimes, lunchtimes, and other activities throughout the school day

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for caring, patient, and enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about helping students achieve their potential. Whether you're bringing previous experience from education, childcare, or a similar support setting, you'll share our commitment to making a lasting positive impact.

You'll ideally have:

• Experience working with students in education, childcare, SEN, or a related environment
• A full UK driving licence to support students during off-site activities
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• The ability to stay calm, positive, and resilient in challenging situations
• A proactive and flexible approach to supporting students' individual needs
• A willingness to learn, grow, and contribute as part of a collaborative team

Napier School is a primary school for students with autism, learning disabilities and/or complex needs located in Farnborough, a town in northeast Hampshire, England.

Our aim is to help students excel by providing a structured, nurturing approach, with students accessing a broad, balanced, engaging and extraordinarily rich curriculum.
