Hours:      38.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday
Contract:  Fixed Term - November 2027 | Term Time Only

About the Role

Are you organised, compassionate and passionate about helping young people overcome challenges and achieve their potential? At Hillingdon Manor School, we're looking for a dedicated and proactive SEND Student Support Administrator to join our team on a fixed-term maternity cover contract.

This is much more than a traditional administration role. You'll be at the heart of student support, helping young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) overcome barriers to attendance, engagement and learning.

From supporting a student returning to school after a period of absence to working with families to find practical solutions, you'll play an important part in ensuring every young person feels understood, supported and encouraged to succeed.

Working closely with teachers, pastoral colleagues, families and external professionals, you'll help coordinate the support students need while keeping essential records, attendance information and interventions organised and up to date.

If you enjoy combining strong organisational skills with a people-focused role where your work genuinely matters, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Make a difference to student attendance, monitoring patterns, identifying concerns and helping put effective support strategies in place.
  • Support students and families, building positive relationships and helping overcome barriers to learning, wellbeing and engagement.
  • Coordinate individual support and interventions, including reintegration plans and multi-agency involvement where required.
  • Be a trusted point of contact, communicating with parents, carers, students and external professionals to ensure concerns are addressed promptly.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching and pastoral teams, helping provide consistent, joined-up support tailored to individual student needs.
  • Keep everything running smoothly, maintaining accurate attendance records, student information, reports and essential documentation.
  • Promote inclusion and wellbeing, encouraging positive attendance, engagement and a supportive school environment.
  • Help students move forward, monitoring progress, sharing information and contributing to strategies that improve confidence and educational outcomes.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who can balance excellent administration skills with empathy, patience and a genuine commitment to supporting young people.

You'll bring:

  • Experience working in an administrative, student support, attendance or pastoral role.
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people, particularly those with SEND or additional learning needs.
  • Strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Confidence communicating with students, parents, carers, colleagues and external professionals.
  • A proactive, practical and solution-focused approach to identifying challenges and supporting positive outcomes.
  • The resilience, patience and professionalism to handle sensitive situations calmly and compassionately.
  • Good IT skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records, reports and student information.
  • A collaborative attitude, alongside the confidence to work independently and use your initiative.
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality, inclusion and student wellbeing.
