What you will be doing

  • Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum and quality of education across the school.
  • Drive excellence in teaching, learning and assessment through coaching, mentoring and quality assurance.

  • Lead and support Heads of Department to raise standards and improve practice.
  • Use data and evidence-informed approaches to evaluate impact and inform improvement.
  • Oversee staff development, professional learning and curriculum-focused CPD.
  • Support curriculum innovation and ensure teaching strategies meet the needs of autistic learners.
  • Promote high expectations, inclusive practice and exceptional educational experiences for every student.
  • Contribute to whole-school improvement planning, self-evaluation and strategic leadership.
  • Be a visible and inspirational presence within the school community.

What you will bring

We're looking for a dedicated and experienced leader who can combine strategic thinking with strong classroom expertise.

  • Bachelors Degree, QTS and commitment to complete the NPQSL
  • Significant teaching and leadership experience within school settings.
  • A proven track record of improving teaching, learning and student outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum design, assessment and school improvement.
  • Experience leading CPD, coaching and developing colleagues.
  • The ability to inspire, motivate and challenge staff to achieve excellence.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
  • Experience working with students with SEND, autism or complex learning needs is highly desirable.
