We're looking for a dedicated Facilities Assistant who takes pride in creating safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environments where everyone can thrive.

Working closely with our Facilities Management Team and School Business Manager, you'll play an important part in the life of the school. From maintaining our buildings and grounds to supporting essential health and safety compliance, your work will help ensure our school remains a place where learning, development, and success can flourish.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Helping to maintain our buildings, grounds, vehicles, and equipment to a high standard.
  • Carrying out general repairs and supporting planned and reactive maintenance projects.
  • Assisting with health and safety compliance, including fire safety, PAT testing, water hygiene, emergency lighting, and statutory checks.
  • Working with contractors and supporting the delivery of maintenance works across the site.
  • Maintaining accurate records and compliance documentation.
  • Supporting the security of the school, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Completing regular site inspections and identifying opportunities to improve our environment.
  • Responding to maintenance issues and unexpected situations with a positive, practical approach.

About You

You'll be someone who enjoys being hands-on, takes pride in a job well done, and understands the important role a safe and well-maintained environment plays in supporting students and colleagues. Reliable, proactive, and approachable, you'll be ready to get stuck in and make a positive impact every day.

What you'll bring:

  • Experience within facilities, estates, site management, maintenance, or a similar role.
  • A good understanding of health and safety and compliance requirements.
  • Strong practical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to work.
  • Good IT skills and confidence maintaining records and reports.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload.
  • A flexible, team-focused attitude and a willingness to support the wider school community.
  • A full UK driving licence.

Most importantly, you'll be someone who cares about creating a safe, welcoming environment where students and staff can do their very best every day.
