About the Role

Are you a highly organised administrator who thrives in a busy, people-focused environment? We're looking for a proactive and professional Admin Assistant to become a key part of our team, helping to keep our service running smoothly while providing outstanding support to colleagues, students, families and external professionals.

This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. As the welcoming face and voice of the service, you'll be the first point of contact for visitors and enquiries, creating a positive experience while ensuring the highest standards of administration, organisation and confidentiality.

Working across a range of areas including admissions, examinations, HR, finance, facilities and general office administration, you'll play a vital role in supporting daily operations and helping the wider team deliver exceptional outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing efficient, accurate and confidential administrative support across the service.
  • Managing reception duties, welcoming visitors and handling telephone and email enquiries professionally.
  • Maintaining records, databases and filing systems in line with data protection requirements.
  • Supporting admissions, referrals, assessments and review processes.
  • Coordinating examination administration and qualification-related activities.
  • Assisting with recruitment, onboarding and wider HR administration.
  • Supporting finance processes, including invoices, purchase orders and record keeping.
  • Coordinating facilities administration and maintenance requests.
  • Preparing reports, correspondence, meeting documentation and minutes.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work and wants to make a meaningful contribution as part of a supportive and dedicated team.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience in an administrative or office-based role.
  • Is an excellent communicator with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Has confident IT skills and is comfortable using Microsoft Office and database systems.
  • Is highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Has excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Works well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Is approachable, professional and committed to delivering excellent customer service.
  • Can remain calm, flexible and responsive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Handles sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

About Our School

Tilewood School is an exciting new specialist provision within OFG Education provisionally opening in April 2027. Located at the historic Tile House in rural Buckinghamshire, the school will provide education for up to 66 students aged 5 to 16 with autism and associated needs.

What makes Tilewood truly special is its environment. Set within extensive natural grounds, the school benefits from woodland, open green spaces, outdoor learning areas, a sports dome, all-weather sports facilities and dedicated life skills environments. We view our grounds as an extension of the classroom, offering meaningful opportunities for outdoor learning, exploration, sensory regulation, independence and personal growth throughout the year. Planned developments include sensory, horticultural and independence gardens that will further enrich the learning experience for our students.

For many autistic children, space, nature, quiet and the opportunity to learn beyond four walls are not simply desirable, they are essential. At Tilewood, we have created an environment where these elements are woven into daily life, supporting children to belong, thrive and aspire.

We are proud to be a part of OFG Education who in 2025 were officially certified as a ‘Great Place to Work’ for the sixth year running.
