Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Papworth Hall School, Papworth Everard, CB23 3RD
Hours: 40 per week | Monday–Friday
Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only
Start: November 2026

What You’ll Do
- Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons that inspire pupils and enable them to achieve meaningful progress.
- Adapt teaching to meet a wide range of learning needs, supporting pupils academically, socially and emotionally.
- Develop and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs), behaviour plans and personalised learning pathways.
- Monitor, assess and celebrate pupil progress, using assessment to inform future learning.
- Promote positive behaviour through nurturing, relationship-based approaches that build confidence and resilience.
- Work collaboratively with Learning Support Assistants, therapists, families and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide consistent, holistic support.
- Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment where every pupil feels valued and able to succeed.
- Champion safeguarding and pupil wellbeing, ensuring every child has the opportunity to flourish.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Has experience working with children or young people with SEN, SEMH or complex needs.
- Is creative, patient and adaptable, with the ability to build strong, trusting relationships.
- Is passionate about inclusive education and committed to helping every pupil reach their full potential.
- Thrives as part of a collaborative team and is keen to continue developing professionally.
- Full UK driving licence.
About Us
Papworth Hall School is in the picturesque village in Cambridgeshire. It is within close proximity to Huntingdon and Cambridge. Our new specialist school caters for young people with complex communication needs, autism and associated learning and emotional needs and has the capacity for 30 students.
At Outcomes First Schools, we provide specialist education for learners who need a deeper level of understanding, expertise and support than mainstream education can typically offer. We support students with a wide range of complex, co-occurring and neurodivergent needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and communication needs, dyslexia and experiences of trauma or adversity.
